Toric Lenses

Lens World are passionate about providing customers with high quality toric lens solutions at affordable prices.

Our range of toric contact lenses includes brands such as Alcon Cibavision, Bausch & Lomb, CooperVision and Johnson & Johnson. Toric lenses are characterised by the high transmission of oxygen in the extremely thin design. The significant oxygen flow means that these lenses are much more comfortable for you to wear and are less likely to lead to the development of serious eye problems or infections.

Toric lenses are designed for wearers suffering from Astigmatism, which is a condition of the eye that makes it difficult to focus on a fixed point, and can make eyes feel tired. Lens World supplies toric lenses that will improve your enjoyment of your vision.

Lens World provides toric lenses which have combined the latest technology with the most advanced materials available creating a contact lens that provides wearers with ultimate comfort and clear, sharp vision.

Lens World is proud to offer free delivery on all orders over $99. For more information about toric lenses or to place an order.

Toric lenses are a special type which are shaped in a particular way. While the standard contact lens will have a spherical surface, which resembles the side of a beach ball a toric lens will look like a doughnut. Toric lenses are designed to create a very different type of refractive or even focusing power on both the horizontal and vertical orientations. The overall refractive strengths will increase or decrease slowly as the lens is moved around.

Toric lenses correct astigmatism

Toric contact lenses are used to correct astigmatism issues which is often caused by varying curvatures of the cornea or even the lens of the eye. Astigmatism mostly occurs when the cornea or the lens of the eye is curved which causes the refraction of the eyes to differ between both the horizontal and vertical plans. So, the result is blurry vision and even trouble looking at fine details. At times people will see vertical lines appear to tilt slightly.

Toric lenses work because they provide varying refractive powers on both the orientations of the eye, which addresses this problem and corrects astigmatism.

Buying toric contact lenses

Toric lenses have to be prescribed by an optician, who chooses the right power lens for both your eyes based on the problems with your sight. So, if you think that you're suffering from astigmatism make sure to consult a doctor, get a prescription and then buy a pair of toric lenses from us. If you need help purchasing a toric lens email us at sales@lensworld.com.au or you can fill out our online form
